Big Day Out- Auckland
Auckland tower
You can bunjy of the top of this, but feeling a little delicate from the night before so didn't bother!
Found my favourite shop in the world!
James found the place him and danny ate ate when they last visited 10 years ago, and he still goes on about how good the bloody steak was!
Mike Skinner- Streets (they were absolutly amazing!)
Killers
Kasabian
Alison's here!
Well sorry i haven't posted for a while things seem to have been pretty hectic around here.
My sister arrived on Saturday which was so good to see a familar face and i am already dreading her leaving. We have loads of things planned including horse riding, scenic flights, river rafting, gondola riding and of course drinking!went out on Saturday and was suffering yesterday!
Been looking ofr another house to move into as we are ready for our space now. Looked at loads of them but in the end decided to keep the one we are in now on and Sarah and Nick are moving out to a small village 20 mins from queenstown. So we will have spare room if any others of you decide to come and visit!
James has moved sites and is now working about 2 mins down the road from where we ive so not much of a commute for him!
Our beloved carr 'the pimp' has finally given up the ghost so we are searching for new one (poss a 4x4 for when the snow comes)but the people i work for have very kindly lent us their big hilux, which james loves and we don't want to give it back now!
The lady i nanny for has given birth this weekend up in Christchurch, so i now have a little baby. Everything wwent well and little Izzy Burgess was born safe and sound and Cordy is doing well too. They are staying up their for a couple of weeks then returning, so can't wait to see them all. Not sure how prepared i am for a 2 year old and a newborn but not many options now!At least i leave at 6:30 and can go straight to the pub!
Still plodding along with the residancy stuff and think we are just about done with all the things we can do and now left up to the Aussie government to see if they want us ( how could they not!!)
Weather here has been scortching for the last few weeks and have really enjoyed seing the sun, somehow managed to miss winter out this year and have 2 summers instead, wish it was always like this.
Went up to Auckland last weekend to go to a concert called 'BIg day out' bit like a mini and kiwi version of Glastenburys. Saw the killers, streets, kasabian, eskimo joe and loads of other bands. Stayed in a really posh hotel, completly by luck, just booked one with a good deal on over the internet but it was nice to stay in a bit of luxury and not in a backpackers. Didn't really rate Auckland as a city and was relieved to get back to the countryside and calm of Queenstown.
Well i think thats all thats gone on really will try and post a few random photos too now!miss you all x

The holiday
Well we set off day after Boxing day on our road trip. We went to the Catlins first adn saw penguins and sea lions. Decided to camp there and had a BBQ and managed to not get too many sandfly bites! then set of along the south coast passing Invercargill ( known as the arse hole of the earth around here!)and lives up to its name. Then drove up to lake Manapouri and stayed in a little cabin as it was raining lots and lots and we were bit fair weather campers! had a walkk around there and then drove up to Te anu, went to see the glow worm caves there on a boat and was pretty amazing. Then drove up to Milford sound which was one of the most beautiful places i have ever seen, millions of waterfalls and rivers and massive mountains. Went on a boat there and saw seals and lots of dolphins.
Well hope you enjoy the photos they took ages to load!!!
